Why Young Living Essential Oils?
They are hands down the best in quality. The oils are 100% therapeutic grade, first-distilled. Young Living owns the farmland that their oils are harvested from (across the world!) so they have complete control of the crops. If a crop doesn't produce to their standards, they scrap it. They harvest what is in season- because of these things you'll sometimes find an oil that you are wanting listed as "out of stock." ((But I'd rather something be out of stock because the highest quality isn't available rather than pay for junk!)) Young Living can be a costly investment, but you get what you pay for!!

Wholesale:
Signing up as a wholesale member is the only way to go. When you sign up as a wholesale member, you must buy a "starter kit" ((with prices ranging anywhere from $40 to $160)) to get you going. Then, you receive 24% off of the retail price of all items you order. You can also earn monthly commissions if you chose to work it as a 'business' BUT you don't have to! You only have to make a minimum purchase 50 "pvs" ((product volume)) a YEAR to keep your wholesale status. ((Generally, one "pv" is equivalent to $1)) This company doesn't force you to do a monthly auto-ship or spend so much per month if you don't want to- you don't HAVE to work it and sell it, you can just order what you want when you need it!
Essential Rewards:
If you WANT to do order monthly, you can sign up for the Essential Rewards (ER) program- this is the monthly auto-ship program. Through this program you can receive up to 20% pv points back on your orders that can be used toward free product! You also receive discounted shipping and more. When placing an ER order, you can take advantage of the great Essential Rewards kit, or you can order items individually. To stay qualified for the ER benefits, you must order 50 pvs a month.
((I was worried about committing to spending a minimum of $50 a month, but it turns out that this is NOT a problem. We USE these oils, so it doesn't feel like a commitment or a burden to spend money monthly!))
When I signed up as a wholesale member, I started with the premium starter kit ((GREAT deal!)) and tried those out for a bit before I decided to enroll in the Essential Reward program. Within a month, I knew I would be ordering monthly anyway, so the ER program just made sense for me.

How I use oils:
I diffuse oils, apply them topically, inhale them and ingest them by making capsules. ((Please, do not ingest anything without researching first!))

There are certain things to know about certain oils and it all can get overwhelming, so I ordered the Essential Oils Pocket Reference guide from Amazon. It's a lifesaver and a MUST for anyone using oils.
Whenever someone signs up as a wholesale member under me and orders the premium starter kit I send them this book as a welcome gift (about a $25 value...)!

I am also a member of a few Facebook groups that are great for any questions that come up, because you can search past comment threads for certain topics or ask any questions and there are TONS of people right there to help you. Having a great network is so important because all of this can be very overwhelming- especially at first. Once you are enrolled as a wholesale member, I'll get you added to a couple of these groups so you can start networking with other "oily" folks ASAP! The knowledge and networking I've received through these groups are priceless.
